Our client is hiring an Optometrist for a full-time position. This position provides comprehensive eye exams using state-of-the-art technology that allows optometrists to conduct examinations remotely. In this role, the optometrist evaluates patients virtually while on-site staff assists with operating diagnostic equipment and assist with the exam process.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams remotely using proprietary tele-optometry technology.
- Communicate with patients via secure video conferencing during the exam.
- Review diagnostic test results gathered by on-site ophthalmic technicians.
- Diagnose vision issues and evaluate eye health conditions.
- Generate prescriptions for eyeglasses and contact lenses.
- Refer patients to in-person providers when pathology or additional care is needed.
- Document exam findings and patient records according to clinical standards.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school.
- Active optometry license in the North Carolina.
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
- Ability to perform telehealth examinations using digital diagnostic tools.
- Experience in patient care and vision correction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with telemedicine or remote patient care.
- Comfort with digital medical systems and video-based patient interaction.
